Merry Edwards Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2017
We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.
Its elegant profile reflects its coastal home with a union of soft textural components and lively fruit. It's compatible with a myriad of light dishes and just as enticing sipped on its own. The exotic aroma shows off spicy notes of cardamom, tamarind, allspice and cinnamon. This expands into mouthwatering candied red cherries and berry fruits: red raspberries, wild strawberries, ripe boysenberries and juicy blackberries. Cocoa nibs, cola, white chocolate, candied violets, crème brûlée, caramel and just a hint of blood orange add layers of complexity. The palate echoes the theme of the aroma - intensified. The tannins are round and full, accented by bright acidity. Finely integrated oak complements the fleshy, succulent fruit mouthfeel. Unctuous flavors then taper into a satisfying, spicy black pepper finish.

Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 1.5LDeep ruby in color, the 2015 Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon expresses aromas of freshly picked black currants, ripe black cherries and blackberries, with subtle notes of violets, mocha and dried spices. On the palate, it's a big, powerful, modern-styled wine layered with heaps of juicy blackberry and cherry fruit, while nuances of cedar, clove, nutmeg and vanilla bean round out the long smooth nish. It's full-bodied and rich, balanced by fresh acidity and rm, polished tannins.
Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Deep, dark brick red to blood plum in color. Aromas are a seamless blend of creme de cassis, hazelnut, cocoa, blackberry preserves, charry meat, and blackberry pie along with suggestions of dark licorice, stewed rhubarb, strawberry, spice and vanillin. The palate is rich and satisfying with chocolate brownie, yogurt, molasses, brown sugar and rhubarb notes presented in perfect balance with higher-toned fruit emphasis. Pairs well with cowboy-cut, grilled rib eye steak with bearnaise sauce; lamb chops with balsamic reduction; or a charcuterie platter with smoked duck breast, dry-cured pork sausage, figs, pecans and sliced apple.
Venge Scout's Honor 2017The 2017 vintage of this wine is perhaps our finest effort to date. This delicious red blend honors our late and beloved Labrador Retriever, Scout. This wine is based on a tradition of producing a full bodied and delicious red wine. We start with a base of old-vine Zinfandel and build upon that with dry-farmed Petite Sirah, old-vine Charbono, and finish with mountain vineyard Syrah. The result is an unpretentious red wine that is ready to enjoy upon release. This vintage has a gorgeous, concentrated assemblage of sweet honeysuckle, crushed blue herbs, aromas of violets, anise, and a touch of vanillin. On the palate is pure richness from the old-vine Zinfandel with loads of super ripe black fruits and currants, pepper spice, and an enveloping masculinity of char and tannins from the Syrah, Charbono and Petite Sirah. A seamless balance and mouth coating deliciousness are found throughout the palate, with an extra long finish that is quite pleasing to the senses.
Belle Glos Las Alturas Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018 BottleThe Spanish term 'Las Alturas' means 'the heights', a fitting name for this vineyard located on one of the highest grape-growing benches in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA up to 1200 feet. At this elevation, the sunny but very cool climate creates a wine bearing all the hallmarks of this coastal region: robust, expressive, full bodied and balanced by a firm acidity. Nestled between the Santa Lucia Mountains and the western side of Salinas Valley, Las Alturas benefits from early morning fog which rolls in most days from Monterey Bay then burns off within a few hours. Gusty winds funnel in from the bay throughout the afternoon, moderating the overall temperature and contributing to one of the longest growing seasons in California. The high winds also result in smaller berries with very thick skins, giving us more color concentration. Another attractive characteristic of this vineyard is the low-vigor, free-draining sub-soil made up of a calcareous base underneath a layer of sandy loam. This complements our farming techniques to further reduce our yields per vine and augment the fruit's intensity.
