Havens Black and Blue 2014
Wine AdvocateLastly, another speciality of Havens is the 2014 Black and Blue. Easily the most opaque colored wine of the Havens' portfolio, the wine has a lovely nose of blackberry, cassis and licorice, full-bodied opulence, a fleshy mouthfeel, and a long finish. It is easily the most hedonistic of all these wines. It is also, to me, the most complex and individualistic. Drink it over the next 8-10 years.
Wine SpectatorShows mostly toasty oak and mocha notes, with modest blackberry, blueberry and spice flavors. Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2021. 3,500 cases made.
