Last week we had a fabulous time visiting Spain virtually with Lisa from Juan Gil. This Saturday, we're super excited to have Master Somm Michael Jordan to take us on a tour of Bordeaux, France! This one is NOT TO BE MISSED!!

This Jordan holds a Master Sommelier diploma as well as a Certified Wine Educator diploma from the Society of Wine Educators and is one of only 15 people in the world to hold both. What a privilege to have him talk to us about Bordeaux!

Jordan’s parents founded Matteo’s, an old-school Italian restaurant with a Hollywood following. Michael grew up in the restaurant and sat on Judy Garland’s lap on her birthday. Ava Gardner taught him Italian. Frank Sinatra grew up across the street from his home and was Michael’s Godfather. It was there that Jordan found he had a zest for flavors of food and wine. He helped open the Napa Rose and oversaw the wine program for all Disney resorts.

We will be featuring three wines from the Right Bank of Bordeaux, St. Emilion - Chateau Vignot, and Chateau Lassegue Grand Cru. Fifteen-time 100-point winemaker Pierre Seillan crafts the wines for both Chateaus. Château Lassègue exemplifies his passion and quest to set the standard for world-class wines. With its striking 18th Century Château, sun-drenched vineyards and diverse terroir, Château Lassègue honors its heritage while moving to a new era of winemaking techniques.

We will be offering a Tasting Pack of 3 wines for only $120 plus optional Cheese Pairing Set $30. Add Fig Jam & Artisan Crackers for $12.

Bordeaux Tasting Set

This Bordeaux tasting set consists of 3 bottles of wine and includes Les Cadrans de Lassegue, Chateau Lassegue and Chateau Vignot from the St. Emilion region of Bordeaux France.

2016 Les Cadrans de Lassegue - This wine showcases black cherry, cranberry, spice and violet, expressing a silky character. Rich and round on the palate, with a touch of well-integrated oak and fine-grained tannins, the wine is polished and exuberant. A Saint-Emilion in perfect equilibrium, to drink now and over the next 10 years. Blend of 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc.

2016 Chateau Lassegue - This is a wine of opulent ripe and rich Cabernet Franc, showing great elegance and finesse. The addition of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon adds softness and roundness to the wine. A voluptuous, layered and complex structure. Wine Enthusiast 93 points - Cellar Selection.

2012 Chateau Vignot - Beautiful ruby color. A fresh nose of black and red fruits. On the palate, this wine is fruit-forward, plush, creamy and smooth. A complex wine with well-integrated tannins and notes of pepper and vanilla. Blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Nine years of age have crafted a beautifully harmonious wine, perfect for drinking today!
